The best light count depends on the size of your headliner and how dense you want your stars. Smaller vehicles can use fewer lights, while larger vehicles and customers wanting a fuller Starlight effect should choose a higher light count.

The 16W engine is smaller and easier to hide, making it a great option when mounting space is limited. The 36W engine has a larger fiber opening, can accommodate more fibers, and provides brighter light output. The 36W box is physically larger, so you’ll need a little more room to mount and conceal it during installation.

The light count tells you how many individual fiber-optic stars are included. As you move up in light count, you’ll receive additional fiber bundles and the appropriate Starlight Matrix™ system and LockLink™ connectors needed for that configuration.

Depending on the kit you select, we use a combination of approximately 9.8 ft, 13.1 ft, and 16.4 ft fibers. Having multiple lengths makes it easier to reach different areas of the headliner without wasting excessive fiber. The exact number and length of the fiber bundles included will be shown with each kit option.

The Starlight Matrix™ organizes and distributes multiple fiber bundles into your light engine. Instead of trying to manage all of your fiber bundles individually, the Matrix system helps create a cleaner, more organized installation. The Matrix system included will depend on the number of lights and fiber bundles in your selected kit.

Yes. Our Starlight kits can be installed as a DIY project. We have step-by-step DIY installation videos on our YouTube channel that walk you through the process and help answer common installation questions. A full Starlight headliner installation involves removing the headliner, installing and routing the individual fiber-optic lights, trimming the fibers, connecting the system, and reinstalling the headliner. If you’d rather have it professionally installed, reach out to us and we can help you find a professional installer in your city.

Installation time varies depending on the vehicle, your experience level, the number of lights being installed, and any additional effects you’re adding. Higher light counts generally require more installation time because each individual fiber needs to be positioned and installed.

Yes. The RGB light engine allows you to change the color and lighting effects. Your kit includes a remote control, and compatible light engines also support app/Bluetooth control. This allows you to customize the Starlight effect to match your interior or change the look whenever you want.

You have multiple power options. Kits can include cigarette-lighter/12V, USB, and hardwire connections. This gives you the option of a simple plug-in setup or a cleaner, more permanent hardwired installation.

Your kit includes the components needed for your selected Starlight configuration, including the RGB light engine, fiber-optic bundles, Starlight Matrix™ system, LockLink™ connectors, remote control, power connections, and extension cable. The exact quantities, fiber lengths, Matrix system, and number of connectors depend on the light-count kit you select.
